Starry Nights III Faculty Recital: thursday, June 20th, 7:00PM

LSU School of Music Recital Hall 
Martin Katz (world-renowned pianist) will perform Ravel’s whimsical Histoires Naturelles with fantastic baritone Jean-Bernard Cerin (Cornell University). Espen Lilleslåtten (LSU Professor of Violin) and Elena Abend will regale us with movements from Beethoven’s  joyful Violin Sonata No. 8; while Sandra Moon and Elena Lacheva will perform three versions of Paul Verlaine’s Claire de Lune.

Final Participant Recital: Friday, June 21st at 7:00PM

Come hear the final recital of the Collaborative Strings Institute, the Vocal Academy, and the Collaborative Piano Institute! In addition to new and exciting Latin American works, our wonderful faculty Espen Lilleslatten and Dennis Parker will perform with piano, string and voice participants during this recital that includes some of the most famous piano trios and quintets!

Holiday Harmony Recital This December 14th!

We are thrilled to invite you to our first Holiday Harmony recital, featuring CPI faculty and alumni performing festive tunes for your enjoyment!

The recital is free, so hurry and reserve your seat through EventBrite before we run out of chairs! Espen Lilleslåtten (LSU Professor of Violin) and Elena Lacheva will regale us with a movement from Strauss Violin Sonata; Sandra Moon and Korliss Uecker, sopranos with long international careers will perform selections by Brahms, Dupont, and Edith Piaf.

Holiday Whimsy 2022!

The Holiday Whimsy is a celebratory hour filled with jubilant music, featuring LSU School of Music faculty members! The date is Thursday, December 1st, the hour is 4pm, and the place is the School of Music Recital Hall. Join us in a beautiful, informal concert, celebrating the end of classes with famous holiday tunes and music by Bach, Godard, Shostakovich, Villa-Lobos and others.
