Reverón Piano Trio presents: The piano Trio Intensive @ CPI
Announcing: Reverón Piano Trio will be in residence @ CPI 2026 for a 2-week piano trio repertoire intensive
Do you breathe chamber music and eat piano trios for breakfast?
Do you want to receive intensive daily training in rehearsal techniques, as well as coachings on style and interpretation by all members of internationally acclaimed Reveron Piano Trio, before performing in masterclasses and multiple weekly recitals?
Then join us for a 2-week intensive summer program, designed specifically to make you the best piano trio string partner you can be! And we have TEN full scholarships for five lucky violinists and five lucky cellists!
Please note: String players can apply by themselves or as part of an established group! Additionally, you are welcome to bring sonata repertoire as well as piano trios.
Program Highlights:
- Study With the internationally acclaimed Reverón Piano Trio—Simón Gollo (violin), Horacio Contreras (cello), and Ana María Otamendi (piano)—will serve as faculty coaches and mentors throughout the program
- Receive Private Lessons and Coachings by all members of the Reverón Piano Trio, and guest coaches
- Participate in Performances featuring faculty and students
- Attend Daily Lectures, Masterclasses, and Workshop Sessions on topics like:
- Score study sessions
- Effective learning, practice techniques and time management
- String technique issues and practice strategies
- Trio rehearsal techniques
- Style and interpretation
- How to start and develop a professional chamber music group
- Latin American chamber music repertoire
- Performance anxiety
- Round table Q&A with faculty members
- Maintaining physical and mental health
- Audition preparation for graduate school, summer festivals, job auditions and interviews
- How to talk with a pianist to get what you need
- Explore Diverse Repertoire: a blend of well-known piano trio/sonata works and compositions by underrepresented composers.
- *you are encouraged to suggest repertoire choices, while the faculty will also assign pieces to ensure a rich and varied musical experience.
- Ten (10) merit-based, Full-tuition scholarships available for string players (five for violin and five for cello)
