The Holiday Whimsy is a celebratory hour filled with jubilant music, featuring LSU School of Music faculty members! The date is Thursday, December 1st, the hour is 4pm, and the place is the School of Music Recital Hall. Join us in a beautiful, informal concert, celebrating the end of classes with famous holiday tunes and music by Bach, Godard, Shostakovich, Villa-Lobos and others.
Featuring: FREE COOKIES AND HOT CHOCOLATE, and LSU faculty members: Loraine Sims, Sandra Moon, (voice); Lin He and Espen Lilleslatten (violin); Kimberly Sparr (viola), Dennis Parker (cello), Katherine Kemler (flute), Nanci Belmont (bassoon), Matthew and Jena Vangjel (trumpet), Charles Goodman (tuba), with pianists Laurence Hebert, Michael Gurt, Ana María Otamendi and Elena Lacheva, and a special guest performance by LSU’s own piano technician, Joe Rush!
