Tuition and Financial Assistance

Since we are planning for both an in-person festival (depending on COVID-19 restrictions) OR an online experience, please read carefully the options below

Active Participant: 

As a participant, you will:

  • attend all lectures (2-3 lectures per day) and Q&A Sessions
  • receive one on one lessons or group lessons with the faculty
  • participate in masterclasses
  • be eligible for partial scholarships               

COST IF IN-PERSON:

Tuition Cost: $1,300 (minus scholarships) Room and board: $1,200. This includes the full cost of a double room and three meals per day. If you are a local student, or if you want to make your own housing and meals arrangements, we can wave this fee. Contact us for details.

COST IF ONLINE:

If we are forced to move the Institute online due to COVID-19 restrictions, the tuition cost will be $1,100 (minus scholarships) if you attend online. No room and board costs will apply.

In order to apply as an active participant, you will need:

  1. Completed application form
  2. Your résumé and headshot (uploaded in the appropriate boxes in the application form).
  3. Two or more video recordings made within a year from the application deadline (see the audition page for pianists or singers for more information).
  4. The $55 non-refundable application fee via check, Zelle or Paypal with the email:  collaborativepianoinstitute@gmail.com (auditors do not need to pay the application fee)

Auditor (virtual or in person):

As an auditor, you will:

  • attend all Zoom lectures (2-3 per day) and Q&A sessions
  • audit private lessons or group lessons (as applicable)
  • audit all masterclasses
  • Tuition cost: $400, plus room and board if you attend in-person

In order to apply as an auditor, you will need:

  1. Completed application form
  2. Your résumé and headshot (uploaded in the appropriate boxes in the application form)
  3. NO application fee or audition videos necessary

SCHOLARSHIPS

• We have partial merit-based scholarships available, upon request. 

HEALTH INSURANCE

• All registered students of the Collaborative Piano Institute are required to have Health Insurance. Please provide proof of insurance at the time of registration. Contact us for some information about short-term insurance.
